Mercedes GLA - new crossover on the track
Prototype of a new product line of German carmakers appear first layer sealed camouflage bodywork, 18 months before they are available in the showroom.
5-seater, with code codes X156 and product names GLA will be produced in early 2014 before joining the war to compete with rivals such as the Audi Q3, BMW X1, Range Rover Evoque and Volkswagen Tiguan.

GLA will be developed in the previous structure driven Mercedes MFA, just 3rd generation A-Class, B-Class, the new 2nd generation or CLA. The crossover is expected to contribute to help Mercedes to attract young customers when it is lagging behind compared to its two fellow Audi and BMW in the war sales in the luxury car segment.
Whatever brings thick camouflage, GLA prototype has revealed part of the theme style with sharp lines. Other design details include a wide grille with two horizontal bars and a three-pointed star in the middle, wheels up to 21 inches on the rear wing.

GLA can use the same engine version B-class. Gasoline engine is a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder supercharged turbine capacity of 122 and 156 horsepower 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder turbine capacity of 211 horsepower. The high-performance AMG will use the turbocharged engine producing 350 horsepower. Diesel 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine producing 109 and 136 horsepower.
The transmission options for GLA consists of both standard 6-speed manual and dual-clutch 7-speed option. The standard version equipped with front-drive system, while the advanced features full-time four-wheel drive system Haldex.
Other equipment for crossover consists of a series of connected information services option, as integrated iPhone and Google Android, as part of efforts to ensure the Mercedes cars future "care" young customers better now.
