Audi Q-coupe to compete with the Land Rover Evoque
German carmakers have birthday 30 years of four-wheel drive quattro system at the Paris Motor Show 2010 with Quattro concept. Fans want to see the production version running on the street, but hope to be suppressed.
The product line of Audi which is admired by superb interior quality and the ability to work with world-class safety features. But it was not enough. R8 has changed everything with the power of a super car, but too expensive for most customers.
Audi Quattro concept has lost the opportunity to go into production.
The fact that Stephan Reil, head of Quattro GmbH company, expressed optimism about the chances of the concept with a production of about 500 to 1,000 units per year. But this project has been revealed to death, according to information from Car magazine.
The reason is that German carmakers are more interested in the SUV and crossover segment. They believe that a rebirth of the original Quattro coupe is something not worth pursuing.
And if what Car magazine revealed is true, the coupe will be back into the past to make room for a coupe-style crossover based on the Q2 has been completed and is about to appear before the world.
Range Rover Evoque is the Audi towards goal.
While Audi Q2 is a 5-door vehicle with 5 seats, the Q-coupe, call name, is expected to follow the style of Crosslane coupe concept by Audi is targeting the creation of a rival Range Rover Evoque.
The Audi Q2 and Q-coupe will be produced on the new MQB structure of the parent group Volkswagen. Individual Q-coupe will use the version of the turbocharged five-cylinder engine with a capacity of about 355 horsepower, as the current TT RS.
